Indian River Charter High School has a lot of hidden talent when it comes to athletics. Just recently, Virginie Becht officially committed to play tennis at the collegiate level for Angelo Sate University:

“I have officially committed to play collegiate tennis for Angelo State University. After 12 years of playing tennis I have accomplished one of my long term goals which was getting an athletic scholarship to a university of my choice. I have been highly ranked in Florida, qualified for states four years in a row, traveled throughout the U.S playing tournaments, and spent countless hours on and off the court to help me reach my goal. I would not have been able to get this far without the endless support and assistance from my family, coaches, friends and teachers. If this goal was easy to attain anyone could have done it. My family and I have made many sacrifices to get me to where I am today and I couldn’t be more grateful. I ultimately look to pursue a degree in communications or kinesiology, but look forward to continuing my tennis journey even after college.” – Virginie Becht

Congratulations, Virginie!
