On Jan. 22, four Indian River Charter High School students attended National Portfolio Day at the Ringling College of Art in Sarasota. IRCHS Art Educator Mrs. Burke attended as a chaperon.

National Portfolio Day is a college fair featuring art and design schools from all over the world. Representatives from the colleges and universities are available to meet with students and review their portfolios. Hopeful students can speak to admissions advisers about their work and get great feedback and suggestions for improving their chances of acceptance. For more information about this event, visit www.nationalportfolioday.net.

IRCHS students left school early Saturday morning, drove to St. Petersburg and visited the Dali Museum. They had the opportunity to participate in a virtual reality experience of a Dali painting, took a guided tour of Dali’s works, and visited the Frida Kahlo exhibit.
