The Indian River County Health Department will be holding a vaccination clinic at the Indian River State College Vero Beach campus, 6155 College Lane, tomorrow, Tuesday, the 24th, from 11:30am to 1:30pm. It will take place in the Richardson Center. Children ages 12 to 17 must have a parent or guardian present.
The Pfizer vaccine, WHICH IS THE VACCINE THAT WILL BE ADMINISTERED, has been approved for emergency use for ages 12 to 15, and it now has full FDA approval for ages 16 plus. The second dose of the vaccine will be administered on Tuesday, September 14th, also from 11:30am-1:30pm.
As a reminder, fully vaccinated students do not have to quarantine if they are deemed to be a close contact of a Covid positive individual.
Full vaccination means two weeks have elapsed since the second dose was administered. Students who receive the vaccination can bring their cards to the front office for an excused late pass. Thanks, and stay safe.
