Hello VAPA Seniors -

If you are not a VAPA Senior, you do not need to read the remainder of this email.  If you ARE a VAPA Senior, please read this entire email.  

If you are a VAPA Senior, and have been in a VAPA program the majority of your time here at Charter, you may qualify for a FLORIDA SEAL OF FINE ARTS (Formally called a VAPA Endorsement).  

This seal is something that goes on your diploma and is read aloud during your graduation. \

We will be having our informational meeting on Monday the 16th during the Homebase "Flex" (11:10am) in Charter Hall.  I will take attendance and report your attendance to your HB teachers. 

 I will go over how to complete it at the informational meeting.  But, I suggest, in the meantime, you print out a copy of the application, and attempt to complete it BEFORE our meeting.  I have attached a PDF of the application for you to review.  

Although your teachers and directors will do their best to remind you, it is up TO YOU to attend this meeting, follow the procedure, and complete the application.  Every year I have at least one VAPA Senior who didn't follow through on the steps to receive this recognition, and then are upset that they are not recognized. You must make the effort to receive the seal. 


There will be more information to come, but for now, please add this meeting (December 16th 11:10am in Charter Hall- During the 10 minute HB meeting) to your Calendars.
